As the representation of Landscape, a settled genre and equally permeable to contemporary artistic operation, revisited and renewed in various media and ways of training, visual artists are urged to reflect deeply on their own work, exemplifying the process, between INTENT and PRESENTATION.
The conference "Lugares da Paisagem" and exhibition is an academic and artistic event, bringing together university professors and researchers, who are, at the same time, visual artists with persevering activity. They were invited to write about their own experimental work, affirming the validity of artistic research in Visual Arts in the current university context and, likewise, in its social and territorial relationship.
It is intended to discuss the experimental research, in the different ways of artistic making, dedicating wide attention to its reasoned reflection, structuring in the academic environment and, equally, bringing the social and educational function of Art closer to the general public.
