PROJECT "ENTRE SERRAS" | CONTEMPORARY ART NETWORK BETWEEN AGRICULTURE AND BIODIVERSITY

The set of communications that come together in this publication allows us to recover the process of sharing and debate that took place in November 2017, in the auditorium of A Moagem, in the city of Fundão, in an inspiring journey of activation of critical thinking that the PES - Project Entre Serras proposed to develop.

At this distance, from the different points of view that were summoned there, a transversal idea stands out that confronts us with the changes that have been operating in the interior regions of the country, and that forces us to reflect on the factors that allow structural problems which for years have been identified are prolonging and aggravating the effects on local communities and on the regional socio-economic ecosystem, accusing the serious imbalance between the Interior and the coast.

The start of the PES – Projeto Entre Serras thus constituted an excellent starting point for, from the artistic creation processes, to take the first steps on a path that, from small points, seeks to bring some light to this horizon of hope.
